Pauline’s Native Nursery is a small ecological nursery in Pauline, South Carolina. I grow native, edible, pollinator, and carnivorous plants to help restore habitat and bring local wildlife back into everyday spaces.
Carnivorous plants are a special focus of mine, especially pitcher plants and Venus flytraps. Most people don’t realize they’re actually native to the Carolinas. They aren’t exotic oddities; they’re natural members of Southeastern bog ecosystems. Sharing that story is one of my favorite parts of this work.
My goal is to make native and ecologically important species easy to find, easy to understand, and easy for anyone to grow, whether you’re starting a backyard sanctuary or just adding one meaningful plant at a time.
Everything I grow is specifically chosen for South Carolina’s climate, soils, and wildlife. These are plants that truly belong here, and that support the pollinators, insects, and birds we’re seeing less of in our own neighborhoods.
Native perennials and carnivorous species both play a role in healthy ecosystems, they just do it in wildly different ways. I love introducing people to both worlds.
